The Neighborhood  and its surroundings

We have a cosy harbour with plenty of sailboats and several restaurants.  There is a lovely beach promenade, and the village itself is quite charming.

The city of La Londe is very centrally located on the coast and only few kilometers away from the highway. There are excellent shopping facilities of all kinds, both in shops and markets, as well as several restaurants, if you do not want to cook your own meal.

There are 5 very nice and family friendly beaches if you want to go swimming nearby. But the coast and sea is a natural attraction in itself. So to find a beach that suits should not be a problem.

Provence offers incredible adventures and experiences, that you can make holydays - summer holidays - Easter - Autumn and all other holidays throughout the year, time after time. There are many beautiful coastal towns like Nice, Monaco, Menton, St Tropez, Port Grimaud, Cavalaire, Le Levandou, Hyeres, Toulon, Sanary Sur Mer, Bandol, Marseilles, etc. Just to mention some of the larger cities. In the land behind the coast there are old romantic and picturesque villages, each being its own attraction. Provence offers approx. 300 days of sunshine yearly and even in November we can have days above 20 degrees.

Provence and France also provides opportunities for many wonderful culinary experiences, whether you are visiting restaurants, or if you even feel inspired to be a master chef yourself. The supply of fresh vegetables and other kinds of foods at the markets or in shops is amazingly large, and it's hard not to be inspired to try it all out. This includes, of course wine. There are a lot of real good wine growers / wineries in the area, which is worth paying a visit. Everyone is showing great hospitality, and one must of course taste there different kind of wines, red as well as white and rosé, not to mention. Rosé wine is the preferred wine consumed during the summer.

In La Londe you will find a fantastic 18 hole golf course, if you should like to play golf. The course was designed by Hawtree and is named Golf de Valcros. The course has great variations in its landscaping, so exercise, in addition to excursions, is well within reach. Looking out over the valley one can see from the villa down to the golf course. And from the upper terrace is a view over the hills and the Mediterranean see. There are several other courses in the area, if you want to try out more than one golf course.

It should also be mentioned that due to the altitude of the villa, as well as being close to the shore, that there often blows a small cool breeze in the summer, but otherwise, you can quickly take advantage of the beautifully  swimming pool we share. The pool is not public, but may only be used by home owners and their tenants, as it is a closed area.
